ETSI-UV collaborates with a German firm dedicated to the industrial uses of quantum computing technology
We are glad to announce that the research group of the Intelligent Data Analysis Laboratory (IDAL) of the Escola Tècnica Superior d’Enginyeria de la Universitat de València (ETSE-UV) has signed a collaboration agreement with Kipu Quantum to provide the industry with quantum computing solutions based on quantum machine learning, in our common effort to bring quantum advantage to the present.
“For IDAL, the collaboration is an important milestone for our research in quantum machine learning. In addition to having public funding for basic research, the fact that a startup of international relevance relies on our knowledge for the development of practical applications, which will benefit from a real quantum advantage, reinforces our idea that this is a very attractive subject not only at an intellectual level, but with tremendous possibilities of real application in problems of very different scope”, explains José D. Martín Guerrero, professor attached to IDAL and the Department of Electronic Engineering of the ETSE-UV.
“We are very excited to bring together Kipu Quantum’s unique expertise in quantum algorithms with IDAL’s leadership and creativity in the world of machine learning. The work developed between both teams will be a key asset in Kipu Quantum’s international business
development roadmap”, emphasizes Enrique Solano, co-founder and Chief Visionary Officer of Kipu Quantum.”Kipu Quantum has the unique ability to solve larger problems than competing algorithmic approaches on the same quantum computing hardware. This enables our industrial customers to solve their relevant use cases using much smaller quantum processors, shortening the expected time for useful quantum computing by many years,” says Daniel Volz, co-founder and CEO of Kipu Quantum.
