How this course works
Self-paced: ~2 min
By the end of this session, you can
- Know what the Business and the Technical track ask of you
- Use the hints in the labs
Prerequisites
None
Each topic in this course has two parts. The Business session is a short read of 15 to 20 minutes. It explains the topic and where it fits in a business. The Technical lab builds on it. It takes about an hour, and you work hands-on on the Kipu Quantum Hub, so you need an account for it.
In the labs, each task has hints that stay closed until you open them. The hints come in three steps, and each step gives away a little more. Hint 1 shows you where to look, a docs page or a command, but not the answer. Hint 2 describes the shape of the answer. The Solution is the full working code, ready to copy. The hints stay closed on purpose: you learn most when you try first. Learning research shows that even a wrong guess helps you remember the right answer later. So make a guess before you open a hint. If a colleague or a chatbot you trust is nearby, talk it through. Then open the hints one at a time, and stop as soon as you can go on alone.
If you open the Solution first, the code will run, but you skip the part where you learn. It is counterintuitive, but we encourage you to look in the docs, try an idea, and debug. If something seems daunting, try breaking it down into smaller steps. If you follow that approach, you will take away more from the Academy than quantum computing knowledge: important habits for writing, building and thinking through your own projects.
